When I came across this today I just had to read it. It is from a 19 year old young man. It was written quite well and insightful, I thought, for a young person. I encourage you to take a few moments to read it and follow the quiet urgings of the Spirit to truly let Christ live in your life and not just your words.
There’s this group of people who don’t believe in God. They’re called Atheists, which is the opposite of a Theist. See, I was brought up with the belief that there is a God. My parents have told me that many times. We’ve done all the things that Christians do, except for going to church and being boring about life. But we prayed, we studied the Bible, we talked with our friends about stuff like, “what is true?”The thing is, many college students, especially Christians, go to their Christian Bible school because they want to learn more about Christianity, and become youth pastors or something. That’s not a wrong idea, apart from the fact that knowledge does not equal belief, so acquiring more knowledge about the Christian faith doesn’t really get you further than where you are, which is a common misconception. “If I know more about the Bible, I can upgrade my current beliefs.” Nah.
